Occasions

Occasions began as a mother and daughter effort to create a store in which one could find a gift to fit any person and any occasion. The store is located in a typical suburban strip mall in west Portland. In order to break up what was a long and narrow space, separate 'rooms' were created using archways. Each room provides an intimate shopping experience and has a unique theme from the next. An overall goal for the project was to foster a sense of light and space throughout the store.
